Chanel West Coast has fallen under fire for including footage of daughter Bowie Breeze in an Instagram video promoting her new West Coast Hustle show. The TV star and rapper, 35, made July headlines for the debut of her new reality series, one coming in the wake of her 2023 Ridiculousness exit.
Showing off her hustle as she kept 2022-born Bowie entertained, Chanel featured snippets of her family life with boyfriend and baby daddy Dom Fenison on August 6, but not everyone seeing the post proved impressed. While many sent Chanel love and congratulations on her MTV show, some felt that she was “using” her daughter for publicity. Chanel does not appear to have responded to the backlash.
Chanel West Coast Shows Off Daughter On Instagram
Sharing mash-up footage that kicked off with Chanel spending family and friend time on an outdoor picnic blanket, the L.A. native kept her motherhood edge up as she was seen tenderly entertaining little Bowie.
Outfitted in a tight white top, the “Karl” rapper flaunted her postpartum curves in a summery look, sporting her hair down and keeping summery in shorts. Footage showed Chanel laughing, with everyone appearing to have a good time.
Also shared were studio cut-a-ways, where dad Dom said: “As a dad, I always want to be there for Bowie,” adding that he adores “going to Bowie’s baby classes, they’re so cute.” Here, Dom was joined by Chanel, who rocked a racy black minidress and appeared to agree with her model Beau.
Told She’s ‘Using’ Her Kid ‘As A Pawn’
In a caption, Chanel shouted out her new show, writing: “My baby @bowiebreeze was so little when we filmed this omg where does the time go!!? 🥹🙏🏼💖 Don’t miss an ALL NEW @thewestcoasthustle Thursday 9pm on @mtv!”
Those going for Chanel went all the way. Slamming the Miami-based star, one user said:
“How is that a hustle. You do the same stuff any other parent does, just those other parents hustle harder for less money. Congratulations, nobody cares.”
The comment gained a moderate number of likes. Also rising up the comments section was a fan thinking that Chanel is only using her daughter for cash. “Why don’t you not use your child as a pawn in your quest to get attention,” the fan angrily wrote.
Chanel has set up Bowie with her own Instagram and regularly shares loving updates featuring her only daughter. The star was slammed earlier this year as she and Bowie enjoyed a little walk in the street, with fans thinking that Chanel was showing herself off more than her daughter.
West Coast Hustle documents Chanel’s multi-faceted life as a TV and music star, influencer, public figure, girlfriend, and mother. Chanel is followed by 3.8 million on Instagram.
