Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood continues to mourn the sudden and shocking loss of his longtime life partner, Christina Sanderas. Her unexpected passing on July 18 left Eastwood and his family in disbelief. Eastwood confirmed her death with a touching statement, saying, “We will miss her very much.”
Eastwood told The Hollywood Reporter, “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much.” At the time of his statement, Christina Sanderas’s cause of death was unknown.
However, just days after her death, new reports from a The New York Post exclusive reveal a representative from the Monterey County Health Department confirmed exclusively to the publication on Tuesday that Christina Sanderas died as a result of a heart attack.
Christina Sanderas’s official death certificate listed her immediate cause as cardiac arrhythmia, which is an abnormality in the timing or pattern of the heartbeat. Atherosclerotic coronary artery disease was outlined as an additional condition that led to Sandera’s death.
