As with Disney’s recent trend to adapt their most beloved animated classics in live action, the beloved little elephant takes the spotlight in this new adaptation of the 1941 animated film Dumbo.
The teaser trailer offers little dialogue from any of the characters except for the girl’s response to finding the big-eared elephant.
“We are all family here, no matter how small.”
The trailer opens up with an imprisoned Dumbo looking out his cell window just to see the birds fly. It is unknown if this is after or before Dumbo is found and embraced by Colin Farrell’s character and his two kids. If it is after, then get ready to feel those tear roll down your cheeks. Although the original Dumbo was animated, fans know that this small elephant’s journey is full of melancholic and even trippy scenes, to say the least. In fact, among the multiple glimpses of scenes that the movie offers us, it seems that Disney won’t shy away from including those pink elephants.
In this film, we will follow Holt Farrier’s family take care of the elephant after Danny Devito’s character leaves it to them. By the end of the trailer, the elephant’ trademark ears appear to be the key to holding the audience’s attention.

The film is directed by Tim Burton and reportedly will be loosely based on the animated film. The remake stars Colin Farrel, Michael Keaton, Eva Green alongside Danny Devito who will personify characters living in the 19th century.
Dumbo is set to release in theaters March 29, 2019. Following Dumbo’s release, Disney is set to show a live-action remake of The Lion King as well as everyone’s favorite thief, Aladdin, in the same year.
