A new reveal for the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons crossover campaign book, Guildmaster’s Guide to Ravnica, is on the internet. Two pictures released on Amazon, show the entire contents of the setting world of Ravnica. Players got a glimpse of new playable races, settings, enemies, and guilds they’ll find around the city set in the world of Magic: The Gathering.
For the first time in fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons, players will be able to choose from one of five new races to create fleshed out characters. These include Centaur, Minotaur, Vedalken, Simic Hybrid, and Loxodon; human-elephant hybrids. Before, these races were only offered as unofficial playtesting for players. Now, fans are able to become the never before seen races as official Dungeons and Dragons material. Along with the races, Ravnica will also be releasing two new subclass options. The Order Domain for Clerics and the Circle of Spores for Druid.
Ravnica is a city featuring members of ten guilds, constantly fighting for power and wealth. Players will be able to pick and choose between the ten warring factions to help them out within the world. Each guild comes with their own background, spells, and perks.
The campaign book also includes various new magical items and armor. Mizzium items appear to be able to withstand fire, at least according to Magic: The Gathering lore. Several other weapons and armor have been converted from their Magic cards to Dungeons and Dragons items. Including the Sword of Paruns and Voyager Staff.
It’s all the tools dungeon masters need to create their own setting within the world of Ravnica.
The more than 253-page campaign guide features tons of information about the city of Ravnica. The released photos also show a snippet of the first page of Chapter 1: Character Creation.
Guildmaster’s Guide to Ravnica will be released on November 20th, 2018 and cost $49.99.
