Elon Musk has several children from multiple relationships, but he chooses to keep much of his private life out of the public eye. Arguably, one of his most high-profile couplings in recent years was with musician Grimes (real name Claire Elise Boucher), and the pair have three young children. But her mother, Sandy Garossino, recently decided to make a public plea to Musk because she felt it was the only way she could reach him.
While it remains unclear whether Garossino has caught Musk’s attention, she has certainly been receiving a lot of feedback for her X posts pleading with Musk to let her grandchildren visit her ailing mother. The first post started off simply enough. “Dear Elon @elonmusk. It was nice seeing you on Father’s Day. I hope you got the card that I helped X make. He was so proud of it. I’m writing here as the only way I have to reach you. As you know, my 93-year-old mother is now in end-of-life palliative care,” she wrote.
She continued, informing Musk, “She yearns to see and hold Claire’s children one last time. Especially the youngest, whom she has not yet met.” OK, but why has she not seen her great-grandchildren?
Grimes’ Mother Makes Public Plea To See Her Grandchildren
Some people may think it’s an odd move to make this private discussion public, but Sandy Garossino is clearly desperate to be heard. The rest of her X posts claim that Musk is “withholding” his kids and notes a double standard between her daughter’s rights and his.
“I am alarmed to learn that the children cannot come as you are withholding them and their needed passport documents from Claire,” she wrote. “It was even more troubling to see you and X on television at the Olympics in Paris yesterday after your DC trip earlier in the week.”
She continued, “Where are the other children, and with whom? They are scheduled to be with their mother. They were expected here in Canada.”
The post has been viewed over 1.4 million times, so the message is definitely getting out there. There has also been a strong reaction from X users who have weighed in on Garossino’s messages. Reactions include, “I’m so sorry your family is collateral for this man’s rage and narcissism. Praying for you, your mother, and your family through this unimaginably difficult time,” “this is so sad to read. elon should stop trying to get to Mars and start being a good father instead,” and “Wow. This is awful. Elon needs to let them visit her!”
While there is hope that the situation will be resolved, there is still much unknown about the details of what is happening between Grimes and Musk behind the scenes.
