Social media users flooded the internet with reactions as Kesha left out Diddy‘s name during a performance. Over the weekend, the musician stepped out for a performance in Los Angeles for her Only Love Tour. During the concert, Kesha treated her fans to the best of her songs, including the 2009 hit song TikTok. But the singer made a move during the performance that left many talking. Kesha removed rapper Diddy’s name from the first line of the song’s lyrics and continued the song with no additional lyrical changes. Her actions stirred an uproar, as it came shortly after Cassie’s rape allegations against Diddy.
Kesha Leaves Out Diddy’s Name
Kesha’s recent outing at the Los Angeles Hollywood Palladium for her ongoing tour was a day for fans to remember. The event left many feeling nostalgic as Kesha performed some of her old songs. One of the performances that stood out was that of her breakout hit single TikTok. However, while on stage, the 36-year-old made a slight but controversial change to the lyrics. Kesha left out Diddy’s name from the song. The singer originally opened up the song with the lyrics, “Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ like P. Diddy.” But during the performance, Kesha changed it to, “Wake up in the morning feelin’ just like me.” Certainly, the change’s timing called for controversy, as it occurred shortly after Cassie’s allegations against Diddy.
On Thursday, Cassie filed a lawsuit, suing her ex-boyfriend for over a decade’s worth of alleged abuse. In the lawsuit, the singer claimed she suffered multiple physical beatings. Cassie also alleged that in 2018, Diddy raped her in her home when she tried to separate from him. However, less than 24 hours after the filing, Cassie and Diddy reached a settlement. Nevertheless, the producer’s lawyer clarified that the settlement didn’t mean Diddy’s admission of wrongdoing.

The Shade Room reposted Kesha’s performance on their Instagram page, and fans flooded the comments section with their thoughts. Many users applauded Kesha for standing with Cassie. One fan wrote:
