In 2014, when George Clooney and Amal Alamudden exchanged their wedding vows, the couple reportedly added one special vow to their ceremony. They claimed then that their number one marriage rule was that they would never spend more than one week apart.
“Our deal is that we can’t be more than a week apart,” George said, coordinating their busy schedules. “So far, that’s worked out pretty well.” However, nearly ten years later, the honeymoon could be over for Amal and George Clooney.

Sources close to George and Amal spoke with InTouch and told the publication they are worried that the couple is becoming too comfortable leading their separate lives. “They are both hard-core workaholics, so it’s like they’re in their own little bubble,” adds one source.
The insider also reveals that George Clooney will soon be moving over 4,000 miles away from Amal and the kids. He is relocating to New York City for a year to start on Broadway. They fear the distance will drive an even larger wedge between the pair. “They are in two very different worlds 90 percent of the day. They’re leading separate lives.”
Amal and George reportedly spend whatever downtime they have from their careers with their 7-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. However, according to the insider, they have been spending less and less time together, and it is affecting their marriage.
“The twins’ happiness is their top priority,” the insider said. If George and Amal Clooney were to continue to drift apart and eventually divorce, the insider reveals the divorce and division of their combined $600 million fortune could become a nightmare for all concerned.
