A few weeks ago, Larian Studios held a panel and discussion about how big and immersive Baldur’s Gate 3 is. The game, set 100 years after the events of the last game, is definitely among the biggest games released this year in terms of content. In terms of role-playing, Baldur’s Gate 3 is dense and rich, giving players multiple options in any situation, with different characters and companions, each of which directly impacts what will happen.

The price of such dense and rich RPG games is their length. Larian Studios has announced that it will take between 75 to 100 hours to finish just the main story of the game and skip all the side quests and optional areas. It will take a monstrous effort and dedication to finish the game for players unfamiliar with these types of RPGs. This is much longer than the 30 hours required to complete the Early Access version of the game.

The studio hasn’t mentioned completing side quests or collecting everything in the game. Still, it is safe to say that you will have to spend over 200 hours if you are going to finish and explore Baldur’s Gate 3 thoroughly. So if you play this game, you will need to reschedule your daily tasks once the game is available.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will be available for PC on August 3rd and PlayStation on September 6th.
