In the Disney Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale DLC that launched yesterday, players finally have the chance to get their hands on a dragon, a capricious creature, so you must know what they eat to make them your friends. Believe us when we tell you that these fantastic mythological creatures have a very refined taste when it comes to their favorite foods. Dragons don’t eat anything that isn’t expensive; they probably just want to make their hoard bigger.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: Where to Find Dragons and What Do They Eat
Like other companions, there are also several types of dragons with unique scale colorations. However, you will have to search a lot all over the Storybook Vale map because each dragon has a different location in the DLC:
- Blue Baby Dragon – The Wild Woods
- Green Baby Dragon – The Fallen Fortress
- Red Baby Dragon – Teapot Falls
- Purple Baby Dragon – The Beanstalk Marshes
The tricky part is finding out what Dragons eat in Disney Dreamlight Valley because Magma or Pure Ice is their favorite snack. Both items can be found by mining Nodes. Search for Pure Ice in Wild Woods and Magma in Elysian Fields. Dragons also like Gems a lot; any crystal is fine, but the only thing is that it will take longer to win their friendship. Feeding the dragons only with Magma or Pure Ice will take approximately 3-4 days.
How to Tame a Dragon Companion
Now that you know where Dragons like to spend their time and what they like to eat, the tricky part is to tame them. Taming any critter takes several days of dedication until it trusts you enough to become your companion. In addition to each companion, you must learn how to approach them; for Dragons, you must follow these steps:
- Once you get enough of the Dragons’ favorite foods, look for them in some areas where they like to appear.
- When you see a dragon, avoid running towards them. At first, they will be too scared for you to interact with them. Similar to Turtles or Foxes.
- Wait for the dragon to relax and lie down.
- Get closer slowly until you can use the “Approach” option.
- Then, you can select from your inventory the Magma, Pure Ice, or Gems you want to give it.
- The dragon will eat it, and a heart will appear, showing its friendship leveling up.
- Repeat this process until you have earned the friendship of each dragon.
The Blue Baby Dragon is the easiest to find, as it appears in The Wild Woods, which is the first area you can unlock in Everafter. The last one you will probably find is the Purple Baby Dragon because it doesn’t appear until The Beanstalk Marshes after unlocking Teapot Falls and The Fallen Fortress. Remember that to unlock any area in Storybook Vale, you must pay with Story Magic; each area has a different price. You can collect Story Magic by completing tasks, like with the Dreamlight.
