A Texas woman who goes by @itskylanow on TikTok is accusing a Christian artist of deceit and abuse. The woman claimed she entered a relationship with the man, not knowing that he was married, and that when she tried to end it, he threatened to hurt her. She made the allegations in a TikTok post shared on Wednesday, and the video has continued to gain views since then.
The woman identified the man as Christian rapper Jai Lynn. She claimed the two had been in a relationship for several months before she learned he was legally married. According to her, his story kept changing. He first said he was married, then divorced, before eventually settling on separated, or as he allegedly put it, “spiritually divorced.”
Despite that, she said she chose to remain in the relationship.
“This is where I messed up,” she said in the video. “I was supposed to leave, but I was disobedient to God. Cared more about my flesh. Cared more about being in love. I thought I could just wait and it would be perfect.”
More Women Were Allegedly Involved
The woman claimed she later found out the rapper had been involved with other women besides her and his wife. “During that entire time, he was always talking to other women, and he would use Jesus as a way to pull them in,” she alleged. “He would pray for them. And he would never disclose to these women who were building feelings for him that he was married.”
She also claimed that when she tried to leave the relationship, the rapper became aggressive toward her. According to the woman, she called the police the night she left because he had previously threatened to break her jaw. She further alleged that he tracked her down the following day, followed her vehicle, and rammed it from behind twice.
“I was absolutely terrified,” the woman said. “I just pray that none of God’s daughters have to go through what I went through.”
Jai Lynn’s Response to the Texas Woman’s Allegations
The rapper responded to the allegations hours after the video was posted. In a video shared on Instagram, Lynn identified the woman as his former assistant and said he had been going through his first divorce at the time.
Lynn said he misunderstood how the divorce process worked. According to him, after receiving the paperwork, he believed he would automatically be divorced within 30 days if he did not respond.
He also said that once he realized he was still legally married, he began setting boundaries with the women he had been dating, including the Texas woman. “It never got to a point where I let certain people cross the lines and boundaries because I know as a man of God, if I’m still in covenant with one of God’s daughters, I shouldn’t step out of that,” Lynn said.
Addressing one of the woman’s most serious allegations, Lynn admitted that he threatened to hit her during an argument but insisted he never acted on it. “One of the days, yes, I did tell her I would hit her out of anger,” he said, calling it “a moment of my weakness.” He added, “I promise you, I never hit her. I would never put my hands on a woman.”
The rapper said he has since repented, sought spiritual guidance, and continued working on himself. He also apologized to the woman and to anyone who felt hurt by his actions.
Netizens Weigh In
The allegations sparked mixed reactions online. Some commenters criticized the woman for staying in the relationship after learning the rapper was still legally married.
“Well I’m not a big Christian but I kno not to mess wit nobody husband tho AT ALL [sic],” one person wrote. Another commented, “None of our business – she still stayed when she found out he was married – she only exposed when she found out about ‘others.'” A third asked, “Why you wait till now? why you ain’t say it when it first happened?”
Others said their thoughts were with the rapper’s wife. “You deserve it all. I hope the wife is okay ♥️,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “God only knows how much his wife went and is going through. 😩 I pray for her peace and happiness.”
While there were also comments supporting both parties, many advised them to step away from social media and focus on healing.
