Jacob Elordi is a full-blown Hollywood heartthrob. The actor has won over fans’ affection with roles in TV shows like Euphoria. He’s also wowed in films such as Saltburn and Priscilla. However, that hasn’t stopped him from falling victim to self-doubt. Although the rising star is considered one of the most handsome men in the entertainment business, he was previously told that his looming height would hinder his career. Sadly, he tried to make himself smaller instead of embracing the trait.
Elordi’s height has been questioned during his roles. However, when he was cast to play Elvis Presley, many deemed him too tall for the role. Thankfully, that didn’t scare away the film’s director, Sofia Coppola. “I mean, he’s striking – so tall. He just has a charisma; he has an effect on women that I imagine was similar to Elvis,” she told GQ of the actor.
Jacob Elordi Height Threatened His Acting Career
“I used to be so sensitive about my height,” Elordi previously admitted, per Pink News. “Because when I first started acting, literally everybody would tell me that I’d never work because they wouldn’t be able to partner me with people, and they wouldn’t lift the camera up high enough. I basically got told that I was too tall to be an actor… I was super nervous about telling people my height. I used to try and pass for 6ft 2in or 6ft 3in,” he confessed.
Meanwhile, Elordi’s fans have rallied behind him despite the criticism. “I get that he means, I’m always surprised by how tiny almost every actor turns out to be,” one fan tweeted. “WE STAND WITH JACOB ELORDI WE MIGHT NOT SEE EYE TO EYE (HE’S TOO TALL) BUT WE STAND WITH HIM,” another comment read. “Jacob Elordi’s height is so sexy,” a third person stated. “Jacob Elordi is the perfect height even if the role he’s playing is awful in more ways than one; it’s the fact that he’s astronomically tall that makes him perfect,” another agreed.
It appears that Jacob Elordi’s height is now something that is working in his favor. As fans grow to love him more, they can’t imagine him looking any different.
