The Met Gala is one of the most prestigious events in the fashion world and itโs a chance for celebrities to really show off their style. Jennifer Lopez is nothing if not stylish, but her gorgeous Met Gala dress did not receive the attention she was expecting. Throughout the night, she posted several photos on her Instagram showing off her gown, and right from the beginning she received criticism. At first, it was comments about whether she was wearing the same dress, and then it was backlash that her team controls the comment section on her post.

Unfortunately for Jennifer Lopez, sheโs been getting a lot of negative backlash in recent weeks. There was a lot of hate on the teaser for her new Netflix film, Atlas (despite no one having any real feedback as to why they didnโt want to see it). She has also been plagued by rumors that her relationship with Ben Affleck is struggling, and now, sheโs been accused of controlling the comments on her Instagram post.
She recently posted a bunch of photos of her Met Gala 2024 outfit and a short and very blurry clip of her walking up the stairs at the event. Some of the chatter about the actress includes statements about her being unable to accept negative comments. โHer assistants will delete any negative comments here,โ a fan wrote. โLiked her a lot until I watched some TikToks of people who worked for her and shared terrible experiences,โ another wrote. โItโs okay to have wrinkles, you donโt have to blur the pics to hide them, we saw you in 4K,โ an Instagram stated. Several other comments also make reference to the blurry video and low-quality images

Jennifer Lopez also has fans who have come to her defense. โI feel she looks tired, though. After all, she received a lot of hate lately, and that must have affected her somehow,โ a comment reads. “You can say all you want about Jlo, you can blame her on whatever, but we all have to give her credit for the workaholic sheโs always been! She never left her fans dry for too long. And that is something that should be rewarded in spite of all opinions.โ
We have to say one thing in JLoโs defense, though: If she didnโt want any negativity, she could simply use the Instagram option and turn off the comments. She hasnโt. But is Jennifer Lopez ever going to catch a break?
