Jennifer Lopez may be entering her revenge era now that she and Ben Affleck have opted to end their marriage. JLo filed for divorce from the Batman actor in August. However, both parties are staying suspiciously quiet about the situation. Meanwhile, sources are claiming that Lopez is taking all of her pain and heartbreak and channeling it into some new music. She even seems to be taking a page out of Taylor Swift’s playbook while doing so.
In the September 23 edition of The Globe, sources claim that Jennifer Lopez is currently pouring her heart out as she’s writing new songs about Ben Affleck. Now that JLo and Ben have split, “her rose-colored glasses are off.” She’s even telling those in her inner circle that Affleck isn’t the great lover she proclaimed him to be in the past.
Jennifer Lopez Is Reportedly Writing Breakup Songs About Ben Affleck
“When things were good between them, JLo put Ben and his bedroom skills on a huge pedestal,” an insider tells the publication. “[Now] she’s telling people he was actually a pretty selfish and basic lover.
She’s annoyed she wrote all those sexy lyrics about him and is now ready to write a follow-up, basically a breakup song, that will hit him where it hurts and blast him for all the ways he let her down, including between the sheets,” the source continues.
Lopez has allegedly been badmouthing Affleck to those who will listen. She’s reportedly telling people that he was insensitive during their relationship. She’s also said to be complaining about his very close friendship with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
“She’s very fired up and angry right now,” adds the insider. “Part of the way she’s dealing with her emotions is by writing, and her team is encouraging her to channel that into songwriting. It’s therapeutic for her, and she’s getting some satisfaction knowing that she’s going to eventually get some revenge by humiliating him.”
It seems that Jennifer Lopez may decide to release an entire revenge album about her marriage to Ben Affleck. In the past, several artists have written songs about their love lives and famous exes. Currently, both Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter are dominating the charts with their tunes about being jilted. So why not JLo?
