Kate Middleton‘s health status becomes more hopeful by the day as she lives through the aftermath of her chemotherapy amid her cancer battle. The royal ushered in September 2024 with the exciting news of the successful completion of her chemotherapy sessions. Kate revealed plans to return to her royal duties gradually, after months under the radar. Since then, the royal has attended a few meetings, mostly away from the glaring eyes of the camera. Yet, many can’t help but wonder if Kate’s earlier announcement also meant she was completely cancer-free.
One of the princess’ relatives, Lady Frederick Windsor Middleton shared details about her state of health while speaking to Hello! Magazine. Sharing an update about her cancer battle, she admitted to seeing Kate recently, and the 42-year-old was “wonderful.” She added,
“I last saw her at Wimbledon. It was so cheering to see her, beautiful as ever. She’s been amazingly brave and doing so well.”
The Princess of Wales made her groundbreaking Wimbledon appearance back in July, attending the tennis tournament alongside daughter Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa Middleton. Kate Middleton, who had been absent from the public eye until then received a standing ovation upon stepping into the stadium for the men’s singles final. After that appearance, the royal mom of three retreated under the radars, until the eventual announcement of her cancer milestone.
King Charles Won’t Take a Moment Off Amid Cancer Battle
While Kate Middleton is more fit to attend to her public engagements these days having completed Chemotherapy, her father-in-law, King Charles, also diagnosed with cancer this year, isn’t taking chances.
Speaking to the outlet, Lady Frederick noted that while the family would rather have the monarch take enough time to rest as Kate Middleton did in the heat of her cancer battle and chemotherapy, convincing him to do just that is a hassle. She noted,
“Duty and service run through him like a stick of rock; it just doesn’t occur to him to rest, something which those who love him are desperate for him to do. He’s battling cancer and doesn’t give himself a moment off—he’s a hugely inspirational man.”
The monarch has notably been up and about all year even while dealing with his life-changing cancer diagnosis. He has honored a handful of royal engagements this year, most recently taking a trip down to Scotland alongside his wife Queen Camilla to mark the 25th anniversary of the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood. This royal engagement could potentially keep him from reuniting with his youngest son Prince Harry as he touches down in the UK on an official visit. It appears that’s the least of the royal’s worries, as his commitment to work remains a major focus for him amid health concerns. Slowing down isn’t an option!
