Kate Middleton plans her long-anticipated appearance at this year’s annual Christmas Carol service which would air on select UK TV stations over the holidays. In September, the Palace confirmed the Princess’ presence at the fourth iteration of her annual carol concert following a meeting held at Windsor Castle to discuss her holiday plans. Plans for the carol service have been in motion ever since, with Kate reportedly cooking something big for her first-holiday concert since her cancer recovery.
Ahead of the December 6 Christmas carol service dubbed Together at Christmas concert, royal author Katie Nicholl is discussing the special plans Kate Middleton has in store. Speaking to royal editor Matt Wilkinson on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show, the author described the upcoming concert as Kate’s ‘baby.” She went on to disclose that the 42-year-old has been working on it behind the scenes, which predictably would mean a massive turnout at Westminster Abbey come December 6.
Kate Middleton’s Big Plans For Her Annual Carol Service May Include a Special Surprise
Among the expected guests, Kate Middleton’s three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, would certainly appear alongside their dad Prince William, just like previous years. The Princess of Wales would also have her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as her siblings, Pippa and James in attendance.
Katie further shared her take on whether or not Kate Middleton would treat the audience to another piano performance following her moving number at her first-ever royal holiday concert in 2021. According to her, the royal mom’s full participation in the event remains uncertain. However, there was no ruling out anything, especially when it came to Kate’s commitment to spreading holiday cheers. The royal author divulged,
“I mean, we’ve yet to see. The capacity for surprise never underestimates it.”
Overall, Katie believes the year will end on a good note for the Princess of Wales, whether or not she actively partakes in her annual holiday concert. Earlier, Buckingham Palace released a statement confirming that the guestlist of attendees at this year’s Christmas concert includes 1600 people. Per the statement, Kate Middleton wanted to use the holiday fest as an avenue to celebrate those who have in some way supported those in need, thereby proving that “love is the greatest gift we can receive.”
Notably, Kate Middleton, who spent most of the year under the radars, battling an undisclosed form of cancer took to social media in September to announce the completion of her chemotherapy treatment. In her statement, the Princess admitted that her health struggles helped her learn to see life from a new perspective and understand the value of “loving and being loved” above all else. She’s carrying on those lessons into the holidays, making them the theme of this years highly-anticipated royal Christmas concert.
