Katy, who attended the show in a cropped jacket and baggy pants had the time of her life mingling with fans and fellow celebrities. In another clip, the American Idol judge captured Taylor on stage before rotating the camera to film her and Rita Ora singing along to You Belong With Me.
Two Queens in One Shot
Katy also shared photos showing her flaunting her abs in her outfit inside a living area. But the most captivating shot yet was her selfie with the star of the day. The snap featured Taylor Swift and Katy Perry embracing each other closely, even rubbing cheeks, with smiles on their faces. The selfie had a reverberating effect on social media. Gushing about the photo, one commenter wrote,
“Love all of these. I love nothing more than queens supporting queens.”
A second wrote,
“People were changed forever by this post.”
Another commented,
“You’re going to break the internet with this one bb.”
Broke the internet they did. Prior to the Eras tour concert in Sydney, feuding rumors suggesting Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had bad blood between them prevailed. In fact, so great was their spat that many believe the song, Bad Blood was about their past feud, which reportedly began following a disagreement over backup dancers.
Katy Perry addressed their feud in a 2019 interview, revealing she and Taylor Swift had no bad blood between them and had “been on good terms for a while,” after hugging it out at a party. The two eventually co-starred in the music video of Taylor’s You Need to Calm Down, affirming their reconciliation. Their reconnection at the Eras tour Sydney concert finally shot down lingering whispers of their continued spat for good.
