Kylie Jenner is getting real about her biggest regrets as a mother. During her new interview with British Vogue, the beauty mogul revealed she wishes she hadn’t taken so long to name her son. Although she eventually settled on Aire Webster, Jenner had a few other names picked out for her second child before she officially decided.
Kylie Jenner Opens Up About Son Aire Webster’s Name
After giving birth to her son in February 2022, Kylie Jenner announced on her Instagram Story that she had named him Wolf Webster. However, she later told fans that she and Travis Scott felt the name didn’t suit him. So, the couple decided to stop calling him Wolf. It wasn’t until January 2023 that Jenner revealed her son’s name had been changed to Aire. She then filed to legally change his name that June.
Although it’s been over a year since the whole thing, Jenner told British Vogue that she still thinks about it. “[I would be] on the phone with my mom all day hysterically crying, saying, ‘I can’t figure out his name,'” Jenner recalled. She said the situation weighed so heavily on her that she felt like a “failure” as a mother. “He deserved so much more than that. It just really triggered me,” Jenner explained.
Besides Wolf, Jenner revealed that she temporarily had named her son Knight. Her daughter, Stormi, was a big fan of the name. She even preferred it over Wolf and Aire. Whenever Stormi brings it up, Jenner tries to change the conversation since she would prefer not to revisit the debacle. “I’m like, ‘You know what, we are not doing this again,'” Jenner recalled telling her daughter.
Jenner gave birth to Stormi in February 2018. She then welcomed Aire four years later in February 2022.
