A street encounter in Massachusetts turned into a heated exchange after a Black driver confronted an older white man he accused of calling him the N-word. The driver challenged him over his choice of language, questioning why he had used a racial slur when there were plenty of other insults he could have chosen.
But the argument quickly turned into a back-and-forth filled with personal attacks and political references.
The video was shared on Instagram by @ceo_getty and reshared on X by @B1TuckerCarlson. It shows an elderly bald man wearing a blue Cape Cod hoodie standing outside a building as the driver films him.
The driver begins by asking the man what happened before mocking his circumstances and demanding that he repeat the racial slur. “Say *expletive* again. Oh, you don’t want to say no more? You don’t want to say *expletive* no more?” he says.
The man responds that he is not going to hit him. The driver also insists he will not get physical, saying, “I’m not gonna hit you. I’m not gonna hit you. I promise you. I’m not that type of Black person.”
He then asks why the man used the slur when he had other words available. “You got many other words to use than *expletive*,” he says, explaining that the word is hateful and that the man knew he was speaking to a Black person.
The argument becomes increasingly personal, with the driver repeatedly mocking the man’s financial situation and telling him to leave. The older man asks, “A guy can’t walk?” but the driver continues taunting him and even suggests that he should be deported.
The conversation then takes a political turn. When the older man asks who the president is, the driver answers Donald Trump and claims he voted for him. He uses that response to make a point about assumptions, arguing that the man had no idea who he was or what he might have been dealing with when he allegedly used the slur.
The driver also gives an example of why the encounter could have been different. He says the man could have been speaking to someone on their way to visit a sick parent rather than immediately resorting to a racial insult.
The man eventually says he wanted the driver to come around and have the conversation with him. The driver dismisses the exchange, telling him he is too old for that behavior before ending with a reminder that they are in “Trump country.”
Internet Reacts to Massachusetts Street Confrontation Over Alleged Racial Slur
The exchange drew mixed reactions, with some viewers focusing on the man’s alleged use of a racial slur while others criticized the driver’s own language and insults.
One commenter pointed out the contradiction in the driver’s response, writing, “Using the F slur while attacking for the N slur is contradictory..” Another called the exchange an “Uno reverse card.”
Someone else joked, “I want them to be friends now lol.” Not everyone was amused, though. “Two trumpets. Both losers,” one commenter wrote.
Another questioned why the driver was arguing with the man, saying, “Ur beefing with a homeless guy, who’s the real loser?”
The driver’s statement about not being “that type of Black person” also caught someone’s attention. One commenter wrote, ““i’m not that type of black person“ you say, so that must mean you know why he called you that.” Another summed up the encounter with, “When 2 ignorant folks meet.”
The video captures the driver’s account and his confrontation with the man, but does not independently establish what was said before the recording began.
