The new anime-style web series gen:LOCK releases in 2019 and joining the cast is Massie Williams (Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, The New Mutants). The big reveal came from showrunner Gray Haddock during a panel at RTX London. Fans also got a look at a third teaser for the upcoming series.

Massie Williams will be voicing Cammie MacCloud, a mischievous Scottish hacker in the gen: LOCK program. The announcement by Gray Martigan, Jordan Cwierz, and Matt Hullum came Saturday, September 15th during the RT animation panel at RTX London.
Working with Maisie is as fun as it gets,” says Haddock. “I’m running out of superlatives to describe how perfect this cast works for the characters, but Maisie truly sounds exactly like how Cammie does in my head — she’s brilliant.”
The voice cast features Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther, Fantastic Four, Creed) as one of the main characters Julian Chase. Dakota Fanning (The Alienist, Twilight) plays Miranda Worthwhile Kōichi Yamadera (Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell) voices, Kazu Lida. David Tennant (Doctor Who, Star Wars Rebels, Jessica Jones) plays a character named DOC, and no it’s not that one.
gen:LOCK follows the adventures of pilots as the protect Earth in giant weaponized robots called Mecha. It is the second anime style series in development by Rooster Teeth. Production on the sixth season of RWBY is underway. Rooster Teeth’s first production, Red vs. Blue, is the longest running web series of all time.
Rooster Teeth’s cast and crew also released a look at the third teaser for gen:LOCK at RTX London. The series is scheduled to release in January of 2019. Rooster Teeth First members, their $4.99 a month subscription service, will be the first to experience the sci-fi anime.
RTX London is a gaming, animation, and comedy convention on September 15th and 16th in Excel London.
