A father in Michigan said he discovered his daughter had been bullying other students after being called to her school. The situation involved the girl mentioning Donald Trump to a Hispanic student and engaging in bullying behavior toward another classmate. In response, the father took his daughter to a police station in an effort to intimidate her and address her actions.

The father shared a video showing himself entering the school and speaking with what appeared to be the principal, where he learned that his daughter had been suspended. During the conversation, the principal compared the girl’s behavior to characters from the film Mean Girls. According to the discussion, the student had resumed bullying behavior despite previous efforts to correct it, including making remarks about other students, their parents, and even their smell.

In the video, the principal explained to the father the reasons behind his daughter’s suspension. He appeared surprised upon learning that she had approached a Hispanic classmate and mentioned Trump during the interaction. The principal provided an example of what was said, stating, “That’s why Trump did that.” According to the account, the situation escalated when the girl repeatedly refused to leave the student alone, prompting him to remove his hoodie and strike her with it. In a separate incident, she bullied another student, which led to that student pushing her.

In response to the incidents, the father decided to take disciplinary action despite his daughter’s claims that she had done nothing wrong. Accompanied by her grandmother, he took the girl to a police station in an apparent effort to underscore the seriousness of her behavior. During the visit, a police officer spoke with the child and warned that actions have consequences. She also attempted to remain calm and reassuring so as not to frighten her. At the end, the father asked viewers for advice on how to address and correct bullying behavior in children.

The video quickly went viral, sparking widespread discussion about the challenges parents face when learning their child is a bully. Many viewers noted how even well-meaning parenting does not always prevent children from engaging in problematic behavior. Several commenters praised the father’s response and his approach to addressing the situation. Others shared how they might have handled similar circumstances with their own children. Much of the public shock, however, centered on the fact that a young girl harassed a Hispanic classmate.

People’s Shock at the Michigan Girl’s Behavior

The video sparked reactions online. Many expressed shock at what the Michigan girl reportedly said to her Hispanic classmate. One person wrote, “This is my worst nightmare ngl,” while another commented, “Every parent’s nightmare knowing you tried your best raising your kid to be good just to find out about their other personality.” Some users suggested that the child’s behavior may have been influenced by her peers. As one commenter noted, “It has to be also her friends. If they aren’t learning it at home they learn it from other children.”

Several users also praised the father for his approach. One wrote, “I havent been this proud of a father in a long, long time. Thank you for being a healthy representation of how we need to not think our own kids are just little angels. We all go through or have went through phases. And because how you handled this that’s exactly what it’ll be, a phase. Great parenting.” Another commenter added, “First of all… no gentle parenting,” highlighting approval of the father’s firm response.

Learning that a child is bullying others would be shocking to any parent. In this case, many observers noted that the father handled the situation firmly and decisively.
