A woman in Michigan is currently facing backlash online after being accused of allegedly harassing Muslim workers at a Walmart store.

The video began with two female Muslim workers walking past the woman while talking to each other. One of the workers could be heard saying “Allah,” after which the woman filming them responded loudly, “No Allah, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.”

When one of the employees noticed she was being filmed, she told the woman not to record her and said she was not allowed to film. The woman responded by claiming that she records videos while shopping in public places. She then told the Muslim employee, “Don’t tell Americans what to do,” apparently assuming that the worker was an immigrant.

According to Walmart’s official website, filming inside stores is not permitted without authorization. The policy states, “Out of respect for our associates and customers, unauthorized filming is prohibited and we reserve the right to enforce that policy.”

When another worker arrived, the woman addressed her and demanded that the Muslim employee back away. She also claimed that because she was in America, she had the right to record.

The woman then turned her camera toward the other Muslim worker. After the employee responded, “What the [expletive]?” the woman told her to “watch your mouth.” When one of the workers explained that they were Muslim and appeared uncomfortable being recorded, the woman told them to “go back to where” they came from.

The employee then warned her that if she posted the video online, she would be “done.” In response, the woman claimed that she was livestreaming before saying, “You need to stop messing with Americans.”

“Let’s see if Walmart is gonna stand up for your religious beliefs,” the woman then said loudly. At that point, another shopper approached with her cart and stood between the woman and the workers. Viewers assumed the shopper was attempting to block the filming and help de-escalate the situation. After insisting that she was recording the clearance section and not the employees, the woman then began confronting the shopper as well. She questioned why the shopper was “parked” there and accused her of “butting in.”

The woman then demanded to speak with management and claimed that she would not return to the location again. “This is America. What is wrong with you guys?” she asked. When one of the workers again mentioned that they were Muslim, the woman responded, “I don’t care about Muslims.” She also accused the employees of “running their mouth” during the confrontation.

To keep filming the workers, shed moved to a different position. She then turned the camera toward the shopper as well and accused her of wanting to “get in the middle of it.” One of the workers then informed the woman that she was not going to leave the store, which led to another argument between them. The employee then asked the woman to delete the video, but she refused.

Another employee, appearing to be part of management, later arrived to speak with her. The woman started blaming the staff, claiming they were “gossiping” and “running their mouth.” She also accused one of the workers of being the person who “created a big scene.”

The woman then claimed she was filming the employee because she was “bothering her.” The newer staff member who arrived at the scene asked the Muslim employee to step away. Eventually, as the woman began to leave the area, she stated that she would not delete the video and repeated, “stop attacking Americans.”

Viewers Criticize Michigan Woman After Filming Muslim Workers

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers online expressed support for the Muslim workers inside the Walmart store in Michigan and criticized the woman’s behavior. One commenter wrote, “Imagine being this much of a [expletive] and posting it so the whole world knows. They should have had her trespassed.” Another person argued that the woman misunderstood her rights, saying, “No one who cites the First Amendment in these situations ever has any idea what the First Amendment entails, let alone the ability to tell the difference between a private business and a public space.”

More people criticized the woman, with some accusing her of deliberately escalating the situation. One commenter wrote, “She’s trying to make them look bad, but instead shows the world what a piece of [expletive] she is.” Another said, “What type of horrible life does this woman have where she needs to go out and harass people while she is ‘recording herself shopping’? Then she has the nerve to flat out lie and say the employee ran up on her. Perfect example of human trash.”

The video left many viewers upset, prompting discussion about appropriate behavior in private businesses such as Walmart. Others accused the woman of targeting the workers due to their religion and criticized her actions toward the employees.
