Pedro Pascal has become one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood. Fans flock to his projects and have been singing his praises for years. Following roles on shows like The Mandalorian, The Last of Us, Game of Thrones, and Narcos, the actor has left quite an impact on his fans and his colleagues. Recently, Pascal sent shockwaves through a group of his fellow actors when he revealed a shocking secret about his “psychotic” tendencies.
Pascal joined Kieran Culkin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Billy Crudup for a SAG-AFTRA conversation interview and divulged a secret about himself. While talking about the responsibility of learning lines, the Chilean actor admitted that he has a very strange way of reviewing his scripts. “I bet I can find and show you the psychotic example, physical example, that I have now that I have to do to learn my lines,” Pascal said, per Us Weekly.
Pedro Pascal’s Method for Learning Lines Shocks His Fellow Actors
Pedro Pascal held up a piece of paper on the Zoom call, which revealed a line of letters lined up in columns and rows. The paper looked like unorganized gibberish to all but the actor. Pascal revealed that he places the first letter of each word on the paper to help him remember his lines.
“This is this, like, psycho first letter of every word,” he explained. “You just use the first letter of each word in kind of these sort of towers, these columns, I guess. And then it’s this very, very tedious way of making yourself learn the line,” Pascal continued. “It isn’t even sort of artistic, it really is this technical way that I’ve had to acquire because of that horrible experience of forgetting your lines.”
Pedro Pascal’s unusual method had Kieran Culkin and Matthew Macfadyen stunned. However, the actor has proved himself to be a stand out in his field. So, it’s possible that his “psycho” tendencies may be mirrored by other actors who find themselves struggling to learn their lines.
