Gabite is a Dragon-type and Ground-type Pokemon first introduced in Generation IV in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. The Pokemon Gible evolves into Gabite, which then becomes Garchomp. They are unlike many other evolutions since neither requires evolution stones. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to evolve Gabite in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

How to Evolve Gabite in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Pokemon Diamond Pearl Gabite

Gabite is a Dragon-type and Ground-type Pokemon that evolves from Gible starting at level 24. If you do not already have Gabite or Gible, you can obtain Gible in Wayward Cave through the secret entrance in the Hideaways. You can also encounter Gabite in the Grand Underground in Still-Water Cavern, Fountainspring Cave and Riverbank Cave. However, you need TM99 Waterfall to climb up waterfalls in these areas.

If you already have Gabite and want to evolve it into Garchomp, you must level up your Gabite to level 48. There are no additional items or tasks you need to perform to evolve Gabite. You also do not need to trade Gible or Gabite with other players to evolve it. However, you will need to engage in numerous battles and fight with Gabite in wild Pokemon encounters without skipping them to level it up to level 48. You may also attempt to fight the Elite Four and the Champion again if you have already defeated them to gain a significant amount of EXP per battle.

Gabite can also hold a Lucky Egg to level up faster. Lucky Eggs add increased EXP after battles, which will help you save time if your Gabite is low level or if you want to evolve it faster. If you do not have a Lucky Egg, you can encounter wild Chanseys which have a chance of holding either a Lucky Egg or an Oval Stone.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available on Nintendo Switch. For more information regarding the game and future updates, check out the official website.
