Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Are Coming to Pokemon HOME!
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet were released back in November 2022 as the main series Pokemon games. They did not have direct connectivity with Pokemon HOME upon release, preventing players from transferring over Pokemon from previous Generations or storing their Pokemon in HOME.
That will change soon, when connectivity officially opens up. Players will be able to seamlessly move Pokemon to and from the mobile and Switch versions of Pokemon HOME as well as bring in Pokemon from previous generation games with connectivity to Pokemon HOME.
These include Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokemon Legends Arceus, Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu and Let’s GO Eevee, Pokemon GO, and Pokemon Bank. It should be noted Pokemon available in Scarlet and Violet will be able to be put back into Sword and Shield, Legends Arceus, and BDSP only if they are available in those games.

Pokemon Bank is available on the Nintendo 3Ds family of systems, which recently shut down its eshop service alongside the Wii U. However, players can still play the games they have already downloaded on the system and transfer Pokemon from DS and 3DS games into Pokemon Bank to connect with Pokemon HOME. Pokemon Bank is also now available as a freely downloadable feature on the 3DS itself for better ease of use.
Players who link Pokemon HOME to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will also receive special in-game Mystery Gifts of the starter Pokemon Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly with their Hidden Abilities in the mobile version of Pokemon HOME.
In other news, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are set to receive DLC later this year, entitled The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, set to release in the fall and winter of this year.
*Note: This article has been edited. It was previously reported that Pokemon HOME would be receiving Scarlet and Violet support on May 24, 2023. Pokemon has since posted an update that this is not the case, and clarified that the release window for Pokemon HOME connectivity is currently unknown.
