Prince Harry’s life in America may not be how he envisioned it when he left the royal family in 2020. Harry currently lives in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet. However, he’s reportedly feeling very cut off from his former life in the UK, especially amid the ongoing feud between him and his family members. Now, one royal expert is weighing in on Harry’s life and lack of social scene.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have different views of life in the United States. While The Duchess of Sussex thrives in her home country, the same can’t be said for her husband. Harry has reportedly grown bored with life in the US with Meghan and the kids. He misses his old life and friends. However, many of them allegedly refuse to visit him in California because of Meghan’s “difficult” nature, per the NY Post.

“Harry is increasingly bored and looking back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live and whom he never sees because they won’t visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult,” royal expert Tom Quinn told the Mirror.
Meanwhile, Harry has visited the UK a handful of times since his exit from the royal family. Most recently, he was in England in May for the Invictus Games. However, he didn’t visit friends during that trip. “[They] are a part of the old pre-Meghan world that Harry hates to revisit,” says Quinn.
“The truth is that Harry has reinvented himself in a way that just doesn’t work for his family or for friends from the past when he was a very different character,” the royal expert added.
Previously, King Charles‘ former butler, Grand Harrold, revealed that Prince Harry has been looking for properties to buy in the UK. However, Meghan Markle wasn’t allegedly thrilled about it because she feels “rejected” by the country and the royal family.
It remains to be seen if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can ever heal the rift with the royals enough to feel welcome and happy in the UK with their family. However, many fans would love to see the family make amends in the future.
