Prince Harry is set to celebrate his 40th birthday this month. Of course, his wife Meghan Markle, will be by his side for the milestone event. However, the celebration won’t be exactly what the Duke of Sussex had planned. Instead of his original thoughts for an ideal 40th birthday bash, Meghan has reportedly taken it upon her self to do some party planning and is said to be inviting the couple’s A-list friends to the event.
The Mirror reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to throw a big party next week in California. They’ll also have their two children, Archie and Lilibet, by their sides for the celebration. However, no members of the royal family are expected to attend the party.
Meghan Markle Takes Control Of Prince Harry’s 40th Birthday Party
“They will likely throw a lavish party and invite friends over around his birthday,” royal commentator Lydia Alty tells the outlet. “Meghan and Harry have many friends in Hollywood, so it will definitely be a huge bash whatever they do. Who knows, they may even sell inside pictures of the party to the media,” she added.
A Hollywood-style party seems fitting for Meghan and Harry during this stage of their lives. However, the prince was said to have had very different plans for his 40th birthday celebration.
Harry reportedly wanted to head home to the UK to spend some time with his old pals and let loose for the milestone moment. However, Meghan allegedly put her foot down when it came to that idea.
“Harry was very keen to go to the UK and party with his friends, and he still would if Meghan let him, but she’s saying absolutely not,” a source previously told Closer. “For one thing, it’s a bad look for their brand. They’re hoping to hang out with the creme of society, with the Hollywood and political elite, so the idea of him knocking shots and acting like a fool with his pals in Mykonos or wherever is just the worst possible idea.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to have different thoughts about how the royal should celebrate his special day. However, it seems that Meghan won that battle. Now, fans will be interested to see if any photos from Harry’s birthday celebration make their way online.
