Prince Harry‘s anticipated reunion with his dad King Charles during his UK visit never came to be, and insiders believe the Invictus Games founder is to blame. For weeks, talks of a father-son reunion between the British monarch and his estranged son have flooded the media. In fact, the only uncertainty surrounding the visit was whether or not the Duke of Sussex would bring his wife Meghan Markle, and kids along for the family rendezvous. It turns out that not only did the rest of the Sussexes fail to tag along for the UK visit, but Prince Harry’s reunion with his dad never happened.
Prince Harry Made It Difficult to Reunite During UK Visit
Earlier, a spokesperson for Prince Harry confirmed that the meeting between the prince and King Charles would not be possible. They attributed the shocking turn of events to “His Majesty’s full program.” On Harry’s part, the prince took the situation well, with the rep explaining how much he understood “his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities.”

Queen Camilla Accuses Prince Harry Of Wanting To Make ‘A Lot Of Money’ Off ‘Vulnerable’ King CharlesDespite the royals’ claims of having too many commitments, royal expert Charlotte Griffiths had a different theory. According to her, King Charles declined to see his son Harry because the Prince made certain unattainable demands. She divulged,
“I think the reason was because Harry made certain demands about who could be in the room and who couldn’t. Although on the surface it looks like a snub, Harry made it very difficult for his father.”
Explaining further, Charlotte noted that other forces may have influenced King Charles’ decision to snub Prince Harry during his latest UK visit. She added,
“William may have had a thought about how this meeting should be conducted or whether it should be conducted at all.”
While Prince Harry couldn’t get the chance to reunite with his dad, brother or other British royals, he enjoyed the support of his mom Princess Diana’s family at the Invictus Games event. As the royals attended the season’s first garden party at Buckingham Palace, Harry’s maternal family including Princess Diana’s siblings Earl Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes joined him at the service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. It looks like the prince did get that family reunion after all, just not the one we anticipated.
