Princess Love and Ray J are back in the headlines after the revelation that they are again heading for separation. The pair’s marital turbulence first began in May 2020 when Love filed for divorce, five months after welcoming their son, Epik. However, two months later, the reality TV star asked for the filing to be dismissed. Surprisingly, in September 2020, Ray J filed for divorce, only to call off the whole process in March 2021. Seven months later, he filed again but was officially granted dismissal in March 2023. Nearly a year later, Princess Love and Ray J are going down the divorce road for the fourth time. The actress announced in a lengthy statement on Instagram on Monday.
“Dear Friends and Family, it is with heavy hearts we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways,” the statement read.
Love further clarified that she and Ray J made the difficult decision after careful thinking and with mutual respect and consideration for each other. Despite ending their journey as spouses, Love said she and Ray J would try to maintain a positive and supportive family dynamic and co-parent amicably.
“Thank you for your understanding and support,” she concluded the statement.
