You can now play with the new operators on Test servers and buy the Year 5 season pass of Rainbow Six Siege.
After announcing Operation Void Edge, Rainbow Six Siege took over the headlines over the last few days. First, the gameplay trailer and starter tips arrived, detailing weapons and abilities of Oryx and Iana, the two new operators, and explaining the changes coming to Oregon map. Also, they did reveal Tachanka’s new ability and replacement gadget.
Soon after unveiling the new operation, Ubisoft added Iana and Oryx to the Test servers of the game, which then followed by revealing the roadmap and season pass of Year 5.
According to the roadmap, six new operators will be dropped until the end of 2020, including Iana and Oryx. One of the upcoming operators is totally classified, but for the others, at least we have the nationalities. Norway, South Africa, and Costa Rica are the countries that will be sending new operators to Rainbow Six Siege during Season 2 and 4.
The reworking job on the maps will be continued throughout the whole Year 5 with the new editions of House, Skyscraper, and Chalet maps replacing the old ones until 2021. Also, there are going to be two gameplay updates during Season 3 and 4, which are yet to be revealed. Moreover, each season will host a special event.
Aside from roadmap, we also get to see the content within Year 5 season pass which includes 7-days early access to all the operators, six uniforms and headgears, Hexagonal 6 Charm, Renown boost, faster battle pass progression, Jager Byte set, and small percentage of discount in the in-game store of Rainbow Six Siege.
It’s worth noting that Rainbow Six Siege will be launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X in Holiday 2020, which probably means there won’t be any chance to get the next title of the series anytime soon.
