Are Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift feuding? After the “Espresso” singer collaborated with Kim Kardashian for a Skims campaign earlier this year, some fans wondered whether the project caused tension between her and Swift. Since the songstress and reality star have never seen eye to eye, Carpenter raised eyebrows for agreeing to work with her friend’s long-time rival. So, what did she have to say about all of this? Carpenter addressed the drama in a new interview with Variety.
No Awkwardness Between Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift Despite Kim Kardashian Drama
Thankfully, it seems any rumors of a feud between Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift are bogus. Carpenter had nothing but nice things to say about the fellow pop star in her Variety interview. Apart from calling Swift a “rock star” and “gangster,” Carpenter spoke very highly of her friend’s character to the outlet. “Everything that I’ve ever seen her tackle, she’s done so with grace,” Carpenter said about Swift.
The 25-year-old offered an example to demonstrate just what kind of person the “Fortnight” singer really is. Despite her history with Kardashian, Swift was okay with Carpenter doing the Skims campaign. She never even had to ask Swift for permission to work with Kardashian because she supports everything Carpenter does. “She’s one of my best, best friends, and we grab dinner or text and catch up like you would with your best friend,” Carpenter said.
Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift became best friends through her Eras Tour. Last year, the Disney Channel alum opened for Swift during her Latin American concerts. She also joined Swift on the Eras Tour for her dates in Australia and Singapore this past February and March.
This fall, Carpenter will embark on her own headling tour. The Short n’ Sweet tour will kick off in September and conclude in March 2025.
