The grieving mom went on to describe Erica as “an amazing woman and talented entertainer.” Diann reflected on how deeply her daughter touched lives with her “humor and zest for life.” She also noted that despite being dead, Erica Ash’s memory would live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Diann Ash encouraged fans to honor the late Erica by donating to the Susan G. Komen Cancer foundation, or any desired breast cancer foundation. She concluded the post with a note of gratitude to everyone for the love and support showered on the family as they braved these difficult times.
Erica died in Los Angeles, at the age of 46. The exact duration of her cancer battle remain unclear. In the post confirming her dead, Loni described Erica Ash as “talented and hilarious,” also praising her run on Survivor’s Remorse and Mad TV.
Before her death, Erica Ash laid her claim to fame with her roles on one of the Scary Movie films, and the Starz dramedy Survicor’s Remorse. Additionally, she played Bridgette Hart, Kevin Heart’s ex-wife for five seasons on The Real Husbands of Hollywood.
Before Hollywood came calling, Erica spent her early years growing up in different locations, including Germany, thanks to her parents’ jobs as military personnel. She eventually settled in Atlanta, Georgia, where she completed a course at a performing art school, and later attended the Emory University.
