The Hips Don’t Lie songstress recently flaunted her new romance during a steamy date night in Miami. Shakira was seen hanging out with a mystery hunk at Lido Bayside at The Standard Spa. The Colombian artist looked ravishing in a short, flowy pink dress paired with white chunky sandal heels. She and her date sat close to the waterfront, with the male companion backing the crowd. As seen in a video obtained by TMZ, the pair seemed to have a good time, with Shakira chatting heartily while munching on her meal. It is unsure if it was a date night or hanging out with a pal.
However, the intimate meeting comes a few months after the three-time grammy winner swore off dating for a while. In a June cover for Rolling Stone, Shakira shared that a relationship was the least of her priorities.
“I’m not thinking about that.โฆ What space do I have for a man right now?But having a formal relationship, I think my kids would have to be very prepared for that, and their emotional and psychological well-being is the priority.”
Shakira Turned Down Tom Cruise’s Interest
It is believed that Shakira’s response was targeted at Cruise, who reportedly had a huge crush on her. In May 2023, the pair were rumored to be involved after hanging out during the 2023 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Miami. Sources claimed the Mission Impossible star was smitten by the Waka Waka songstress, “convinced they had a real connection.”
Unfortunately, Shakira didn’t buy into his fairytale. “Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1, but she has no interest in dating him,” an insider at US Weekly said about the situation. “He was really nice, and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him.” With a new man in sight, it seems Tom Cruise wasn’t good enough for Shakira.
