Simone Biles has ended her journey at the Paris 2024 Olympics on a legendary note. The renowned gymnast was no doubt the star of the games, given her triumphant return from a disappointing 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In true G.O.A.T fashion, Biles swept gold in all the games until the final day of the competition. However, that didn’t stop her from coming out victorious.
Day 10 of the Olympics marked the last day of the artistic gymnastics competition, and Biles participated in the women’s balance beam and floor exercise events. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old fell off the beam on her backward layout step-out somersault, resulting in a score of 13.100. She ended up in fifth place, winning no medal for the event final. However, Biles didn’t give up hope of closing the ceremony with a medal. Although she aimed for gold for the floor individual final event, she ended up taking home silver. Rebeca Andrade of Brazil delivered a flawless routine, while Biles sadly landed out of bounds twice, resulting in a 0.3 deduction in addition to the landing deductions.
Despite not ending the Olympics on a golden streak, the Houston native maintained her status as the G.O.A.T. With three gold medals and one silver, Biles is now the second most decorated women’s gymnast in Olympic history. She is an 11-time Olympic medalist. She also strengthened her reign as the most decorated gymnast of all time with 41 championship medals.

Biles acknowledged her impressive achievement with a heartwarming Instagram post. Wearing the official tracksuit with her four medals hung around her neck, the iconic athlete beamed proudly at the camera. She gushed in the accompanying caption, “More than my wildest dreams.” Fans and celebrities bombarded the comment section with praises. Actress Halle Berry penned, “I know you are so proud of yourself! You inspire us all to strive for excellence! Forever the G.O.A.T.” Taraji. P Henson shared a similar sentiment, writing:
“Just everything!!!!! So glad I got to witness your greatness in person ‼️‼️‼️🐐🐐🐐.”
With the Olympics over, Biles gave fans a glimpse of how she will be celebrating. In an Instagram Story post, she photographed a tray containing six shot glasses, a plate of salt, some lime wedges, and a bottle of alcohol. A gorgeous bouquet of green flowers was also featured in the corner. After giving of herself extensively at the Olympics, Simone Biles deserves to party like there is no tomorrow.
