Snoop Dogg hopes to take Martha Stewart‘s mind off her disappointing Netflix documentary, Martha, with his favorite substance. The project, which was supposed to be a wholesome depiction of the ups and downs in her success journey, didn’t meet the lifestyle entrepreneur’s expectations, causing her to publicly lash out. With Stewart being stressed over the outcome, Dogg is stepping in to calm her down before things get out of hand.
According to sources, the Martha Stewart Living founder has been on the edge since the premiere of Martha at the 2024 Telluride Film Festival. “If she doesn’t like the way her staff work, she gets on them like a hornet. She gets rattled so easily, and the Netflix documentary is partly to blame,” the insider explained to InTouch Weekly. Stewart’s discontent with the docu reportedly stems from its focus on her 2004 trial and prison stint. The 83-year-old mogul “can’t seem to shake the stigma” of the case, causing her to be “a real pill to be around.” However, Snoop Dogg doesn’t like that side of her and wants to do something about it.
“He’s telling her to let it go and instead of blowing a fuse, smoke a joint instead and better still smoke it with him.”
The informant added, “Snoop thinks his solution is best. A little weed goes a long way, and she’ll have more fun doing it.”
What Has Martha Stewart Said About Her Netflix Documentary?
It comes as no surprise that Snoop Dogg feels the need to step in after his mogul best friend trashed the documentary publicly. During the 2024 Retail Influencer CEO Forum, Stewart, during a Q&A, described the project as “lazy.” She told Joanna Coles of Daily Beast that it is “not the story that makes me, me.”
“I try not to talk publicly about the things I don’t like, [as] it’s not good business. I can talk a little bit badly about [the documentary].”
Explaining what she didn’t like, the business mogul said, “It’s more about my stupid trial, which was so unfair.” Stewart also had a bone to pick with the doc’s director, R.J. Cutler, who she claimed didn’t give her a level of control over her story. “We were going to be collaborators—and then he had final edit,” she noted. “[But] He wouldn’t change anything.” Despite Stewart’s grievances, Martha will air on Netflix on October 30.
