Sofia Vergara Eyes ‘Summer’ From Her Swimming Pool To Sell Her Brand

Sofia Vergara put her Instagram to good use this week as she both showed off her legs from a sunny swimming pool and promoted her Toty sunscreen brand. The actress, 51, made 2023 headlines for jumping into the celebrity beauty space, joining stars including Kim Kardashian and Rihanna in retailing skincare products.

Sofia’s focus, however, is on sunscreen. In this share, the Netflix star held a tube of her mineral sun protection, also delighting her army of followers with a view of her shapely legs. The Modern Family favorite made sure to post jointly with Toty, whose Instagram already boasts over 100,000 followers.

Sofia Vergara Shares Pool Shot On Instagram

Snapping a photo of her legs freely dangling in the pool waters, Sofia hid her face and most of her figure, although fans still got to see a part of her. Sending out casual, carefree vibes as she eyes summer, the Walmart clothing designer sat at the edge of the pool, using one hand to hold a white tube of her Toty product.

“Thinking about summer,” Sofia wrote as fans left her over 66,000 likes. The post was also shared to Toty’s feed, where the fanbase is building up.

Why She Called Her Brand Toty

Sofia has opened up on the fun-sounding brand name, which happens to be very personal for her.

“In Barranquilla, Colombia, where I come from, everyone has a nickname,” she said on an Instagram clip for Toty, adding that Toty “was mine.”

“My older brother Rafael, rest in peace, couldn’t pronounce my name and started calling me Toty, instead of Sofi,” she continued. Vergara is no stranger to business ventures outside of her TV gigs. In 2019, she founded her Walmart clothing collections and continues to promote her eyewear collabs with brand Foster Grant. In addition, Sofia is signed as an ambassador for Italian designer Dolce & Gabbana.

Speaking more of the importance of protecting her skin against sun damage as she launched her brand last year, Sofia told Harper’s Bazaar:

“I grew up in very tropical weather in Barranquilla, Colombia, and there was no one ever telling you, ‘Don’t get sunburn’ or ‘Don’t tan,’” adding: “I wish I had made that decision sooner also for the rest of my body, but I didn’t. I just thought to save my face, and that was it. So, I haven’t had my face in the sun without protection since the ’90s.”
