The event took place in New York City over the weekend. To mark the occasion, Avignone shared photos from the festivities on Instagram, one of which included a picture with Swift. Fans couldn’t help but notice the pop star was wearing a chunky new accessory. According to style expert and Taylor Swift fan Sarah Chapelle, it’s worth over $30K.

“A new watch has been added to Taylor’s (slowly) growing collection,” Chapelle wrote on Instagram, alongside the photo of Taylor Swift and Ashley Avignone. “While out to dinner in NYC this week, Taylor celebrated the birthday of her longtime friend, designer and stylist, @ashavignone. In the process of the hug, the sleeve of her LBD lifted to show off her Cartier watch.”
Chapelle, who regularly analyzes the singer’s fashion, said that Taylor Swift’s new watch appears to be the Panthère de Cartier Watch by the luxury French conglomerate. The stunning piece of jewelry costs $32,200. According to the official Cartier website, it is “one of the most distinctive” watch designs in the brand’s collection. It was made in the 80s and is described as a “true style icon for women who never go unnoticed.”
The price tag of Taylor Swift’s new watch made fans’ jaws drop. “That’s all of my student loans on her wrist,” one person commented. “She is wearing my college tuition,” another wrote. “That watch cost more than my car,” read another comment.

According to The Sun, the Kansas City Chiefs star went all out for her big day earlier this month. The publication reports that Kelce spent over $175K on Swift’s birthday gifts. They included luxury items like a Rolex watch, Elsa Peretti bracelet, and Alhambra earrings.
Apparently, that was only the beginning of Swift’s presents because Kelce also spoiled her on Christmas. “Travis kept some more unique presents in his sleeve for Christmas time, he loves to surprise Taylor and get her some very nice gifts,” a source told the publication.
