Lovato will perform at the MTV VMAs for the first time in six years. The last time she was on the VMAs stage was in 2017 to perform her hit single “Sorry Not Sorry” off her sixth studio album, Tell Me You Love Me. Now, Lovato will return to promote her first remix album, REVAMPED, which is set to release on Friday, Sept. 15. The record will feature rock versions of Lovato’s hit songs over the years, including “Confident,” “Cool for the Summer,” and “Neon Lights.”
The 2023 MTV VMAs will also mark the return of Måneskin. After performing “Supermodel” on the show last year, the rock band will appear this time to perform their new single, “HONEY (ARE YOU COMING?).” The track drops on Friday, Sept. 1, so the MTV VMAs will be the group’s first time performing their single on TV.
K-pop fans will also be excited to hear that Stray Kids will perform on the show for the first time this year. A press release says they’ll perform their latest single, “S-CLASS.” The track is from their third Korean-language album, 5-Star, which dropped on June 2. The exciting news comes just days after Stray Kids kicked off their 5-Star Dome Tour in Fukuoka, Japan, on Aug. 16. Next, they’ll perform in Nagoya and Osaka from Sept. 2 to Sept. 10 before they’ll head to the United States to perform at the 2023 MTV VMAs on Sept. 12.
The 2023 MTV VMAs performers also include Karol G. The Colombian singer will perform new music from her fourth studio album, Mañana Será Bonito, which she released on Feb. 24. Currently, Karol G is promoting her record on her Mañana Será Bonito Tour.
More performers for the 2023 MTV VMAs will be announced soon.
