Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman did not end their marriage on the best terms. The former celebrity couple married from 1990 to 2001 after meeting on the Days of Thunder set. After adopting two children, daughter Isabella and son Conner, the celebrities split after a painful and controversial divorce.
Nicole reportedly claims that their split was due to her young age at the time of their marriage. However, many sources allege it was due to Tom’s involvement with the Church of Scientology. Tom Cruise is reportedly unwilling to risk an accidental run-in with any of his exes, especially Nicole Kidman. It is no secret that as far as Tom Cruise and his exes go, he is willing to go out of his way to avoid them, and per the Daily Mail, he even skipped out on the Oscars last year to prevent her. However, the Mission Impossible star barely escaped an awkward run-in with his ex-Pratical Magic star Nicole Kidman over the weekend.
Nicole Kidman was in Paris to enjoy the Olympic games with her husband, Keith Urban, and the couple’s two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Coincidentally, Nicole’s former spouse, Tom Cruise, was also among the city’s long list of celebrities to watch the best battle it out.
However, Tom managed to dodge what many believe would have been a somewhat awkward run-in with Nicole and her family. Nicole Kidman recently opened up publicly for the first time about previously working side-by-side with her former husband.
When asked about her ex, the Australian beauty also shared that she lacked the ‘ability to look back and dissect’ her past marriage to Cruise. Nicole also opened up about her relationship with their adopted children. She says she was afraid that Tom may have pulled their son Conner deep into Scientology alongside him. She claims if that is the case, she fears she has lost her son forever.
One thing is seemingly for certain: Tom’s luck in avoiding his exes will eventually run out. The day when he will be forced to face seeing Nicole or Katie Holmes publicly is inevitable.
