Going it alone in a world of magic and monsters is dangerous, so it makes sense to bring some companions along for the journey. Since Baldur’s Gate 3 also includes the option to romance these companions, it’s not surprising that thoughts eventually turn to how hot these characters are. Fictional or otherwise, what makes a person hot is far more than skin deep. Personality matters more than beautiful eyes, as Larian Studios knows. These are the hottest Baldur’s Gate 3 companions, ranked from somewhat spicy to absolutely sizzling.
8. Shadowheart
Personality is a huge part of what makes a person attractive, as Shadowheart demonstrates. The mysterious artifact she so jealously guards will probably prompt a lot of questions from players, which is ripe fodder for conversation. Any chance to get to know Shadowheart better is a good one. She’s a Cleric, and like most holy types in fantasy, her personality is buried beneath layers of righteousness and determination. She’s much more than she appears, and that’s alluring enough. Bonus points for the pointy Half-Elf ears.
7. Halsin
Yes, Halsin is the guy from the infamous Bear Scene. This shapeshifting Druid gets entangled in the player’s life during the events of the Druid Grove quests. It’s a little on the nose to say there’s something animalistic about Halsin, but it’s literally true. Setting aside the Druid’s wonderous ability to shapeshift at a moment’s notice, Halsin is attractive for other reasons. Is it the muscles? The hair that’s suspiciously well-kept for a man most comfortable in the woods? Whatever it is, it’s working.
6. Gale
What’s fantasy fiction without a well-intentioned Wizard getting in over their head? Gale steps into that role in Baldur’s Gate 3. You don’t make it your goal to become the greatest spellcaster in the world without having the self-confidence to back it up. For parties that need someone with elemental DPS, Gale’s Fireballs are happy to provide. Gale tends to smolder away from the battlefield too. Like everyone else in BG3, he’s struggling to get his life together before it violently ends. With those eyes, players have a good reason to lend a hand.
5. Lae’zel
Lae’zel proves that you don’t have to be nice to be hot. This Githyanki Fighter might have the prickliest personality of any companion in Baldur’s Gate 3. Even when the player does things Lae’zel approves of, she’s not exactly friendly about it. That doesn’t change much when the player starts to romance her. Players who can look past the unending insults and disappointment she exudes will discover a genuinely attractive person. From her looks to her personality to her ability to one-shot a goblin with a broadsword, there’s a lot to like here.
4. Wyll
Larian Studios has a thing for tragic backstories, and Wyll is no exception. This Human Warlock comes from noble blood, but no amount of wealth or privilege can save him from his own bad decisions. These decisions have scarred his body and his spirit, but these scars only add to the character’s charm, making him one of the hottest characters in Baldur’s Gate 3. It doesn’t hurt that Wyll’s humanity can waver as the story progresses, introducing the player to new interesting sides of his character.
3. Minthara
It’s a testament to the scope of the storytelling in Baldur’s Gate 3 that players can recruit and even romance bosses. Whether players are wooing her in camp or blasting her with lightning spells in the Shattered Sanctum, Minthara remains one of the hottest companions in the game. Let’s be honest: Dark Elves have been hot since Drizzt Do’Urden first stepped out of an R.A. Salvatore novel. Something about the pointy ears, lilac skin, and absolute willingness to destroy to get her way makes Minthara irresistible.
2. Astarion
The forbidden hotness of vampires dates back to Bram Stoker’s Dracula and has bared its fangs in most vampire fiction since then. Astarion embraces the long tradition of undead bloodsuckers somehow being sexy. Despite any problematic undertones, many players are happy to jump into Astarion’s arms, going so far as to allow the vampire spawn to feed from them. A character must truly be hot for the player to volunteer to an ongoing debuff as a result of blood loss, which puts Astarion near the top of the hotness charts.
1. Karlach
Including Karlach in any hotness competition is almost unfair. This Tiefling Barbarian has basically everything tilted in her favor. Far more than just an incredible body, Karlach is a deeply sympathetic, funny, and charming character. Her fondness for shredded clothing and beating up the player’s many enemies doesn’t hurt either. In a game stuffed with compelling stories, Karlach has one of the best. Being hot is great, but no one wants to spend time with an insufferable bore. The depth and fun this Barbarian brings to the table makes Karlach one of the hottest characters in Baldur’s Gate 3.
