Salt is vital in Enshrouded, as it’s a necessary resource for Hunters and Stealth Builds since it’s needed for a Bow with Arrows. Every bit of armor that you use has specific advantages. Given the benefits of the Hunter armor, you’ll need it if you’re using bows. To craft the armor, you’ll need Dried Fur, which requires quite a bit of Salt to make.
Where To Find Salt in Enshrouded
In the first few days that I played Enshrouded, I could not, for the life of me, figure out how on Earth I was supposed to find Salt. Sure, there were some that I found here and there, but I couldn’t find a decent source that would give me more than one or two Salt drops. However, the locations where I would discover the resource were difficult to get to, and the nodes didn’t respawn resources very often.

Enshrouded: Starter GuideIf you want to get a lot of Salt in Enshrouded, look to the Shroud. It might not seem like the best situation, considering the nonstop Critter onslaught and enemies that spawn around you, but I can assure you, it’s the best Salt farm in the game. On the map, you will eventually unlock locations of Salt Mines. As far as I’ve seen, they can only be found in the Shroud. Though, the risk is worth it for the rewards. You can collect as much as 100 stacks of Salt from mining for a minute or so.
Alternatively, if you’re not up to brave the Shroud for Salt, you can find it in vases surrounding important areas in-game. Most of these areas include Flame Shrines and Ancient Spires. However, you can only find small amounts there versus the multiple stacks you can pick up at Salt Mines.
- Salt can be found in Vases around points of interest.
- Salt Mines are the best place to farm Salt in Enshrouded, but the location’s dangerous.
Enshrouded is now available on PC.
