A woman has left many people online shocked after surviving a fatal incident while sleeping in her parked car in Alabama.
The woman explained that she had been attending a family gathering in Alabama and decided to rest by sleeping in her parked car. According to her, she had been asleep for about 20 minutes when another vehicle parked in front of her and turned on its headlights. That moment was captured in the footage she shared online.
After the light hit her face, she began waking up and moved her head from its original position. According to her account, that was when people outside the vehicle suddenly began firing guns at the car. In the video she shared, the back windshield of the vehicle could be seen shattered after being struck by bullets. The woman believed that if she had not woken up and moved at that moment, she could have been hit by the gunfire.
In a comment under her video, the woman shared additional details about the aftermath of the shooting. “Thank god I’m alive but a bullet really almost hit me while I was asleep,” she wrote. She also claimed there were two bullet holes in the driver’s headrest. According to her, the front windshield was struck by another bullet that did not fully penetrate the glass, leading her to believe the bullet may still be in the vehicle.
The terrifying experience left the woman visibly shaken as she reflected on how close she believes she came to losing her life. “Glass will be replace my life literally wouldn’t have been. I’m still thanking god to this second for my life. Everyone know I have 3 kids I needed to get back home to. THAT YOU GOD YOU ARE AMAZING,” she wrote.
She also shared a caption reflecting on the frightening experience, writing, “Almost lost my life over the weekend. I still can’t believe this. Being half asleep not know what is going on, I was so confused. Could’ve been 1 to the head for just sleeping and minding my business. Thank you God, You are so Amazing.”
