A woman in New York confronted a man after she alleged that he left a hateful note on her car while she was parked outside a gym. The encounter was recorded and later shared online, where it quickly sparked discussion.
At first, the woman shared footage of the confrontation before revealing what the note said. In the video, she approached the man in the parking lot outside the gym and asked if he knew her. She then asked whether he had placed the note on her car. In response, the man asked her if she had actually seen him do it.
The confrontation continued as the woman repeatedly asked the man whether he had left the note on her car. Instead of directly answering, he asked why she had approached him. The woman insisted that she believed he was responsible, claiming that the gym’s security cameras showed his car pulling up next to hers around the time the note was placed on her vehicle.
Instead of admitting to leaving the note, the man asked the woman whether she had actually seen him on the security footage. She responded by saying that she saw his “bald [expletive] head” get out of the car and place the note on her vehicle. After making the accusation, she cursed at him. When the man still denied any involvement, the woman told him to “stand on business.” He replied by telling her to go and show him the footage from the security cameras.
As the man began getting back into his car, the woman insulted him again. “If you locked in, you wouldn’t have them titties sitting on your chest,” she said. She then stood in front of his car and told him not to put anything on her vehicle. The video ended with the woman showing how she placed the note on the handle of the man’s car. “He could take that [expletive] home to his [expletive] wife,” she said before the recording ended.
After the video went viral, the woman shared an update revealing the contents of the note. According to her, she regularly wears a scarf on her head when she goes to the gym, and that was the reason behind the message the man left her. The note read, “You look crazy ratchet when you come to the gym with that [expletive] on your head. Pls stop in the name of God. Look around, only you be looking crazy.”
The woman said that after finding the note, she decided to identify the person who had left it. According to her, she asked the gym to review the front security camera footage from the day the note appeared on her car. She claimed the footage showed the man’s car pulling up next to hers, him getting out, placing the note on her vehicle, and then driving away. She said she waited about a week until she recognized the man’s car at the gym, which was when she decided to confront him.
Viewers Side With New York Woman After Confronting Man
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers sided with the New York woman. They believed that she was justified in confronting the man after what had happened. They also criticized him for leaving the note, arguing that the message was unnecessary and inappropriate. “Did he think it was a comment section?” one person asked. Another commenter suggested that the man had been paying attention to the woman for some time before leaving the note. “Maam he BEEEEEEN watching you, bc how he know you wear it every day. You 1000000% correct!” they wrote.
More people weighed in on the situation, with some saying they found it more concerning than funny. “Ik most ppl are laughing but it really is spooky how closely he was watching you,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “Saying this to anybody at all is crazy, but the fact that he took the time out of his day to hand write it is sending meeee.”
The video sparked a conversation about harassment in public spaces and how some women say they are targeted over their appearance or clothing. It also led to discussions about how people should respond to alleged harassment. Many argued that those responsible should be held accountable through appropriate channels.
