Chilling inside a fridge is something many might like to do to escape the heat, and one cat in Florida had the same idea. Reddit user Icy_Gas453, the sibling of the cat’s owner, made a post on r/SignsWithAStory that featured quite a concerning yet comical fridge note: “Make Sure Cat Is Not in Fridge!” According to OP, the family pet had allegedly climbed into their fridge when the husband left the door open while making a sandwich.

Apparently, the cat managed to slip into the fridge without anyone noticing. “The cat was in there for 4 hours before the next person woke up to make some coffee…” Icy_Gas453 wrote. The inside of the home might not be cool enough for its liking, as OP claims the cat still tries to climb into the fridge when no one is paying attention.

The Florida Cat Was Snacking on Cheese While Chilling in the Fridge

Relaxing in the fridge wasn’t the only thing the cat was doing whilst locked inside. Icy_Gas453 added that it also ate some cheese during the four hours. “Sounds like a pretty cool kitty,” joked a commenter.

“I thought this was a restaurant with an angry boss and was concerned that a cat was allowed to roam the kitchen at all,” remarked another Redditor, referring to the note above the reminder for the cat. For anyone confused, Icy_Gas453 clarified that their sister is a cook and left that note on the fridge for work later on.

One person couldn’t believe that someone would leave their fridge open long enough to let their pet climb in and get comfortable. “Fridge door left open for several minutes? In this economy?” they exclaimed.

According to the comments, this Florida family’s cat isn’t the only pet feline that wanted to climb into a fridge. “I did have a cat who would jump into the fridge sometimes,” recalled a user. Others claimed their trash cans or laundry machines were of interest to their cats.

That said, many people could probably agree that being able to sit inside a fridge for a bit while snacking on cheese doesn’t sound too bad during this year’s hot summer.
