Halo Infinite might not be coming this holiday, but the development team over at 343 Industries has shared a new teaser to hype up the community. In this week’s blog update, we’ve finally got our first look at Halo Infinite multiplayer armor. Dubbed as ‘Monarch Armor Coating’, this armor does away with the weird spikes and horns of previous titles. Thanks to fan feedback across Halo 4, Halo 5, and Halo Wars 2, 343 Industries ended up picking classic Halo games and Reach‘s design ideas. This time around, more bulky and industrial.
343 Industries has actually shown off Halo Infinite’s Monarch design before, together with Banished Elite lieutenant Jega ‘Rdomnai, through a concept art illustration. The lore stated that this latest Mjolnir Mark VII variant is packed with some sort of integration of Forerunner nanomachine technology and created with input from Dr. Halsey herself. Through the campaign, Master Chief on the other hand is wearing the more out-dated Mark VI armor.
This Halo Infinite multiplayer armor permutation will be part of another promotional giveaway, this time with snack products from Mondelez. Specially-marked packages are already trickling out to stores. By getting them, you can unlock exclusive in-game items “in a specific order” starting with the Monarch armor permutation. To read more details on the giveaway program, just head over to nabiscoxbox.com.
Previously, Halo Infinite partnered up with Monster Energy, offering double XP, AR experience in Snapchat, and a chance at one of 10 grand prizes or one of 200 Xbox Series X consoles. The grand prize is an all-expense-paid trip for two to Paris and $1,000. What do you think of the new multiplayer armor? I hope we will be able to get it without needing to buy snacks, otherwise, people outside of the US (like me) are be out of luck. Tell me what you think in the comments below.
