In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can find dozens of different types of weapons. If you are a fan of halberds and are looking for the right equipment, don’t look past the Light of Creation. To get this weapon, you will need to visit the Underdark to find the Arcane Tower, one of the most mysterious buildings that is owned by Cleric Lenore. But let’s break down how to get the Light of Creation in Baldur’s Gate 3 in more detail.
BG3: How to Reach Arcane Tower
As mentioned above, the Light of Creation in Baldur’s Gate 3 is located in the Arcane Tower. In this tower, you can find not only the Light of Creation but also many other useful things, such as the Chest of the Mundane, a useful find that can hold many items, reducing their weight to a minimum.
To get to the Arcane Tower, you will have to visit the southwestern part of Underdark. The building is located at the following coordinates: X:5, Y:-305. Be careful because on the approach to the tower, the defense turrets placed by Lenor will activate. You can try to defeat them, as they are weak to Lightning attacks, but we don’t recommend it, as they are powerful and will kill you in a few shots. Instead, use the Invisibility potion or Pass Without Trace to avoid obstacles.
How to Power an Elevator in Arcane Tower
Well, when you finally get to the entrance of Arcane Tower, the first thing you’ll need to do is get Sussur Bloom. To accomplish this, go to the back of the tower, and follow the sidewalk around, using the mushroom ledges to jump on them. When you get to the backyard, you’ll be able to see a large blue tree, also called the Sussur Tree. All you have to do is walk up to it and pick up the Sussur Bloom.
After getting the bloom, you will need to get inside the tower. You can use the door that is located in the backyard, it will lead you to the right location. Use the lockpick to open the door, or simply break it down with your weapon. After successfully entering, you’ll need to keep moving forward until you spot the Power Generator.
Approach it and interact to open the interface and place the Sussur Blooms you collected earlier into the item slot. When done correctly, this will cause you to power up the generator, thereby providing the tower with energy. Thus, you will disable the turrets that were standing outside and will be able to illuminate the area to move more freely. Another advantage you will get is the use of the elevator, which is located directly above the generator, and it is for this purpose that you took all the above steps.
How To Get the Light of Creation in Baldur’s Gate 3
Now that you can finally use the elevator, you will need to go to the highest floor. You can also stop on each of the floors to loot them and get useful items. Eventually, when you reach the top, you’ll be able to see a robot NPC there, whose name is Bernard.
Bernard is the guardian of this tower, and when he notices you, he will stop you and start a conversation. You can talk to him to initiate a fight or finish the dialog peacefully. Regardless, you will still have to fight the robot because the Light of Creation can be obtained from him. The only thing he can do to you is Lightning attacks, which deal a decent amount of damage. You shouldn’t have any problems defeating him, given that your allies are much more numerous.
After defeating Bernard, you can get the following rewards from his corpse:
- Antique Key
- Guiding Light
- Light of Creation
- Potion of Flight
As you can see, among them is the long-awaited Light of Creation in Baldur’s Gate 3, a halberd that deals 1d10+1 Slashing damage and +1d6 Lightning damage. This will be a great choice if you haven’t reached Act 3 yet and will help you in many battles.
