Kaia Gerber has sparked immense concern as fans react to her recent weight loss. The 23-year-old model and daughter to Cindy Crawford had already caused worry a month ago when a thread on social networking platform Reddit said she was “looking unwell,” and it looks like the sentiment was echoed this month.
Showing off her super-slim figure in a segmented minidress at the 2024 Time100 Next Gala this week, Kaia displayed her minuscule frame in high heels, quickly raising the alarm as Just Jared‘s Instagram fans reacted. When a user said that Kaia is “sickeningly skinny” as they added that she looks “extremely unwell,” over 20 others agreed. The Gala was also attended by stars including singer Sabrina Carpenter, Emily in Paris star Ashley Park, and Bridgerton actress Nicola Coughlan.

Displaying her long, lean frame in an all-black look, Kaia stunned in sleeveless tassel minidress with segmented strips and a slightly sheer finish below the knee.
Going leggy and with an asymmetric collar, the YSL Beauty ambassador showed off her super-slim legs in black heels, also drawing the eye to her tiny waist and shoulders. Keeping glam with her dark locks blow-dried and worn down, Kaia opted for dramatic, smokey eye makeup, a cheek-enhancing red blush, plus a matte lip.
The daughter to supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber also wore nothing beneath her dress, going a little sheer at the chest while showing some curve.
Told She Looks ‘Unhealthy’ And ‘Thin’
Voicing their concern, one fan wrote: “I love Kaia but she looks extremely unwell and there is no life behind her eyes in that photo.”
The user added that “in all the photos I’ve seen of her recently she looks sickeningly skinny. I know she’s normally tiny but it’s looking a bit more extremely lately.”
Another user merely said Kaia’s name, adding a skeleton and shock-face emoji. Kaia had been deemed “severely underweight” back in 2018, but the star herself has never confessed to suffering from any disordered eating. That said, just last month, Reddit users were worried, with one saying: “If this is how she looks in photos, I cannot imagine how gaunt she looks in real life.”
Others, meanwhile, seemed convinced that Kaia is suffering from an eating disorder.
Also making headlines for their weight loss of late have been singers Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera, mogul Kylie Jenner, and SKIMS founder sister Kim Kardashian.
