Tom Holland and Zendaya continue to go strong after four years together as a couple and almost a decade as friends. However, the British actor is looking to take things to the next level, and he has the support of an older friend in the industry who recently settled down.
The Uncharted star is reportedly eager to make things official with Zendaya, and he has the backing of Robert Pattinson. Both actors are British and have played superheroes, so they have a sort of brotherly bond, says a source. However, they recently became closer after collaborating on the Netflix production The Devil All the Time. During filming, Holland observed Pattinson’s new life as a father and a partner. He reportedly wants that for him and Zendaya.
Recall that the Twilight actor popped the big question to actress Suki Waterhouse after about six years of dating. After announcing their pregnancy in November 2023, they got engaged, and their daughter was born in March 2024.
“For Tom’s part, he’s seen up close how settling down, getting serious and having kids has changed Rob. Tom wants that life for himself and Zendaya, sooner rather than later.”
When Will Zendaya & Tom Holland Get Married?
Luckily, the Spider-Man: Homecoming co-stars are already halfway there. The insider explained to Life&Style, “As Tom and Zendaya move closer to having a wedding next year, basically living like a husband and wife already, and continuing to book multiple film projects together, Rob is cheering them on.” If things go according to plan, the informant says Holland is considering including Pattinson in the wedding. He might even have a special role, like the best man or a groomsman.
Of course, this brings up the question of when Holland and Zendaya will walk down the aisle. The lovebirds have been plagued with engagement rumors for a while but have never confirmed nor denied it. According to a close source, the world might not get to hear when the big milestone happens. “Tom and Zendaya don’t need to go through the formality of announcing an engagement,” the informant told the publication. “They already decided some time ago that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.”
The source adds that they most likely will go the low-key route, just like Pattinson and Waterhouse. Zendaya and Holland’s relationship dates as far back as 2016, when they were both cast as MJ and Peter Parker, respectively, in Spider-Man: Homecoming. They remained friends for years until their first on-screen kiss in Spider-Man: Far From Home sent radars flying. The pair, however, continued denying the rumors until paparazzi photographed them smooching in a car on July 2, 2021. Holland and Zendaya have since confirmed their relationship and never shy away from declaring their love for each other.
