For Honor, Ubisoft’s newest multiplayer online experience will finally have dedicated servers. Since the game’s release on February 14th, 2017, connectivity issues have been a big problem for PC gamers especially. The game has already received twelve major updates since its release earlier this year, but Ubisoft has much more in store with the two new seasons of multiplayer content arriving shortly:

These won’t be limited to the new characters, maps, and modes that the next two seasons of the game will bring, either. Planned changes include ranked matches; fighting-system alterations that will make attacking less risky and defending less of a sure bet; a new tutorial and training arena to let you practice your combat techniques; and a move to dedicated servers, which will improve connectivity and match stability.

As of right now, the connection issues have been one of the biggest complaints of the For Honor community. As it stands right now, if someone quits the game, the entire game is put on hold while the host migrates dedicated servers will keep the game from pausing when someone quits because the host will no longer have to migrate.

For Honor

There has been no word on when these servers will be up and running, but fans can expect season 3 to release in August and season 4 right behind it in November. Aside from new characters, maps, weapons, items, and emotes, players can look forward to a “Duel Tournament” mode, ranked matches, riskier fighting mechanics, a new “Training Area” mode, and finally, a new 4 vs. 4 PVP mode. According to the developers, the new tournament mode will be “totally organic” and mostly run by the community with nudges from the development team every once in awhile.
