Fear the Walking Dead fans get ready the second half of season three will begin this Sunday, September 10th on AMC. We here at TheNerdStash have already gotten the first three episodes for the second half and I’m digging what I’ve seen so far.

Events of the second half of Fear the Walking Dead will be picking up almost immediately after the mid season finale. Jeremiah Otto is dead. Killed by Nick but he and Madison have made it look like a suicide…a sacrifice. One that would avert war with The Nation and keep the people of the ranch safe. While war is averted at first, things get very tense when The Nation come to the ranch.

The Infected - Fear the Walking Dead _ Season 3, Episode 9

One thing that was talked about Fear the Walking Dead quite a bit in the first half was the politics of the show. With everything going on in the news today, the “Us vs Them” mentality certainly seems to resonate much more. Even though Jeremiah Otto is gone, his ideas so to say…are not. Given everything that’s happened, the members of the Ranch still see Walker and his people as the enemy. Now, they will have to live side by side with those people. They have to share their precious and scarce supplies with those people. As we saw from the preview, it’s not going to be easy.

Some of the dots for the second half of Fear the Walking Dead have already been laid out. They’re just waiting to be connected. For instance, Daniel at the dam. A reunion between Ofelia and Daniel has been already been confirmed for the second half. It would seem likely that the water supply at the dam will come into play with what’s going on at the ranch.

It also appears that another new area will be introduced. A stadium appears to have been converted into some type of barter town. This area also seems to be controlled by a woman. Fear the Walking Dead has teased a female villain for season three and perhaps this could be her.

Fear the Walking Dead returns this Sunday on AMC with the episode titled “Minotaur.” Be sure to check back after the episode for our full review.
