Due to some set photos that have made their way on Twitter (via users Suffering Sappho and YVRShoots), we have another look at Nora Allen’s XS suit:

Some more photos of Nora West-Allen. These photos are mainly Jessica Parker Kennedy's stunt double (JPK is lying on the ground in the first photo, and has her back to us in the 2nd – the rest are her double). Gives you a better look at the costume. #TheFlash #BabyFlash pic.twitter.com/1E3p5WjLYm

Nora Allen sparingly appeared throughout The Flash season four as a mysterious character who was seemingly stalking Team Flash. At the end of the season, this mysterious girl not only helped Barry destroy DeVoe’s remaining satellite but also revealed herself to be the daughter of Barry and Iris. The season concluded with Nora telling her parents that she made a “big mistake”.
In the SDCC trailer for season five, we learned that Nora Allen goes by the name XS (presumably a name given to her by Barry). In the comics, XS was actually a speedster by the name of Jenni Ognats. Jenni was the granddaughter of Barry and Iris and actually wore a suit strikingly similar to the set photos seen above.
It appears that the series, like it has many times in the past, is going to mash parts of different characters together to make their own adaptation. Based off of my knowledge from what I know about The Flash family, it looks like Nora Allen will be a mixture of Jenni Ognats, Dawn Allen, and Bart Allen AKA Impulse.
Jessica Parker Kennedy, who plays Nora Allen, spoke with Newsarama and had this to say about Nora’s personality:
“Personality-wise, I think she’s a lot like Barry. Certainly, the way Barry was early on. She’s finding her footing. She’s goofy, she’s dorky, she’s very young spirited. She is prone to making mistakes and other people needing to clean them up. That’s just sort of where she’s at right now. She’s in the experimental phase of her life.”
We certainly know that the newest Flash Family speedster doesn’t want to be anywhere near her mother as she made it a point to steer clear from Iris throughout season four. Kennedy also touched this subject, saying:
“Something has obviously happened for me to feel much closer to my father than my mother. It’s something you’ll find out relatively early on in the season.”
The Flash season five will premiere October 9th on the CW network.
